Mitchell Family at the NH Tree Farm

About Us

Mitchell Christmas Tree Farms is a faith-based family and veteran-owned Christmas Tree Farm in Colebrook, New Hampshire.

Mitchell Christmas Trees are born and raised on our farms, which are about 10 miles south of the Canadian border.

Each November, we harvest trees from our farm in Colebrook, and ship them in refrigeration to our market in Scottsdale, AZ.

Our family loves Christmas, and a beautiful, fragrant Christmas tree is a cornerstone of our family’s Christmas celebration.

Our History: In September 2022, the Mitchells purchased a 46-acre Christmas Tree Farm with 30,000 Christmas trees which has produced Christmas Trees of the highest quality since 1945!

In 2023, we had our first Christmas Tree harvest of over 1,000 trees which were sold and distributed to retailers in New England.

In 2024, Mitchell Christmas Trees shipped our farm fresh trees from NH to Scottsdale, Arizona and in New Jersey.

We are the only Christmas Tree retailer in Arizona who owns a farm and grows our own Christmas Trees.

Our farm fresh Christmas trees are available in Arizona at the North Scottsdale Nursery & Cactus.

Come visit us and pick out a farm fresh tree to make your Christmas merry!

It takes a lot of teamwork to produce these perfect Christmas trees! Every year we hand pick the pine cones from the trees to help allow the tree to use energy for bud development and growing branches instead of producing seeds. This important process is what helps your tree grow healthy, vibrant and full!
Past few weeks we’ve been busy tagging trees and removing cones! I must say it’s Lookin’ Pine 🌲 🌲😉
We were incredibly blessed in 2023 with the highlight of our year being the first harvest of 1000 Mitchell Christmas trees! We hope you have a very merry Christmas and enjoy the warmth and magic of the holiday season! 🎄 Xo, The Mitchells
Tree farming isn’t easy! Hot cocoa breaks are a must! 🍪🎄
There are approximately 25-30 million Real Christmas Trees sold in the U.S. every year. There are close to 350 million Real Christmas Trees currently growing on Christmas Tree farms in the U.S. alone, all planted by farmers.
“Fact: Life is better with a Christmas tree." 🌲🎄
Cons of an artificial Christmas tree: 1. 85% of artificial trees are made in China. 2. Transporting these trees overseas consumes oil and fuel and releases carbon emissions. 3. They are made with harmful chemicals including metal and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a non-biodegradable, petroleum-derived plastic, which when manufactured produces carcinogens like dioxin, ethylene dichloride and vinyl chloride. This type of pollution is a leading cause of cancer. 4. Older trees may also contain lead. 5. After disposing of an artificial tree, it will lay in landfills for centuries.
Hello November! It’s almost Christmas! 🎄
